Arthur Greenleaf Holmes

Take a stroll down the sordid corridors of literary expression with Arthur Greenleaf Holmes, sixteenth century libertine and, until recently, anonymous poet. This show is not for the elderly, the infirm or the morally indignant.

Black Isle Belly Dancers

Meet our New Belly Dance Troupe, performing tribal fusion dance at the Festival for the first time, and watch this new dynamic of music and dance elements on the Gypsy Stage. Incorporating elements from both folkloric and classical dance styles, tribal fusion is a modern form of belly dance.


Cale the Juggler

Comedic fire juggling, fire breathing, and world class precarious stunts. Cale breaks down and rebuilds Newtonian Law in a fit of primed crackerjack fury. A truly unpredictable, all inclusive show suitable for all ages and everything in between!

The Danger Committee is an incredible combination of juggling, knife throwing, spine-tingling thrills and hilarious comedy. They have performed on national television and at theatres, festivals and corporate events across the country.

Fandazzi

Fandazzi Fire Circus is a live music and fire performance troupe that was founded in 2004 to bring the mystery, magic, and bright presence of a gypsy family to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. They are an ever-evolving Twin Cities based fire circus performing Live Music, Dance, and feats of MORE FIRE!!!!

Weaving comic wit amid impressive feats of escapism, fire artistry and the supernatural has won Johnny Phoenix the title of "Danger Comedian." "If people walk away thinking they too can laugh at the impossible, then I've done my job," concludes Johnny.

Puke & Snot

Puke and Snot are boldly approaching their 40th year at their home festival in Minnesota. Their blend of two-man vaudeville and overblown Shakespearean acting styles has made them a must-see show wherever they show up.

A show for the bold  --- or at least they think so! Watch the antics of our favorite outlaw, Robin Hood, and his Merry Men and women, Little John, Maid Marion  Much the Miller, and Will Scarlet. A show for a child of every age!  When they are not in Sherwood , watch for the Merry Men  throughout the village as they battle it out with the Lord High Sheriff and his villainous cohorts!

The Wacky Chickens

The Wacky Chicken Show uses the age-old metaphor of the chicken and egg as symbols of life, weaving a hysterically funny, ultimately thoughtful and joyful story of human yearning, failure and spiritual triumph—while clucking, strutting, and laying eggs. Lloyd Brant and Rosie Cole have performed their Daffy Duck inspired show across the USA.

Tuey the Juggler

Performing stunts based in the classic skills of his craft, Tuey's show is anything but old fashioned. He goes well beyond the usual display of juggling skills to include a wide array of manipulations, thus, "I've never seen that before!" is a common response to Tuey's show. Audiences also love Tuey's unassuming, friendly style, and the only thing they do more than applaud during his show... is laugh.

 

 


Toil & Tumble

If you want to know the ABCs of tumbling it’s a good thing we’ve got them all in one group! Come meet Apple and Bijou; the dynamic, gravity-defying duo of Toil and Tumble! These wacky acrobats, or wacrobats, are an old hat on a new suit! ‘Ooo’ at bodies balanced with precision, ‘Aah’ at feats of strength and daring and laugh at everything else! Hold on to your seats, socks and teeth: TNT will blow you away!

Tortuga Twins

Got Comedy? The Tortuga Twins are improv comedy storytellers extraordinaire—which is not an easy thing to say with a mouth full of laughter. Outrageously unpredictable and unstoppably hilarious, these three “twins” present a variety of audience-interactive tales! Using razor-sharp wits and lighting-fast comic reflexes, they bring smiles, laughter, and occasional amazement to audiences throughout North America.

William Bradshaw is a national award winning magician! Funny weird and just plain amazing, his show is a must see at the festival. Be sure to see his death defying grand illusions at the end of the day including burned alive, underwater escape and more!

Zilch the Tory Steller

His name is Terry Foy, although you might know him better as Zilch the Storyteller. Er, ah, Torysteller. The stories he tells have a bit of a twist to them. He spalks in toonerisms. Ah, he talks in spoonerisms. Citching one's swonsonants fack and borth, worning your Turds around. It's serfectly pimple. You just have to tink thaster than you falk!
