Dog Rules & Registration

Bring Your Dog – The Festival Is Dog Friendly!

Pet dogs are welcome at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival provided they comply with the Dog Rules & Registration Policy.

Only dogs are permitted on Festival grounds. No other pets or animals are allowed.

Dog Check-In is available at both the King’s Gate and Queen’s Gate entrances.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Before entering the Festival with your dog, you must:

  • Complete the Dog Registration Form and bring it with you.
  • Bring proof of your dog’s current core vaccinations, including:
    • Rabies
    • DHPP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, and Parvovirus)

Proof of vaccination may be provided in one of the following forms:

  • Printed vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian.
  • Current vaccination tags, if they clearly demonstrate the required vaccinations and expiration dates.

Please Note: The DHPP vaccine commonly combines protection against distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, and parvovirus into a single vaccination.

DOG PHOTO REQUIREMENTS:

A photo is required for all registered dogs.

  • The photo must clearly show the dog’s head and may include the full body.
  • Photos submitted with registration will not be returned.
  • If you do not provide a photo, one may be taken during registration for an additional fee.

FESTIVAL RULES FOR PET DOGS:

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests and their pets:

  • Dogs must be at least 6 months of age.
  • Dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
  • Leashes may not exceed 4 feet in length.
  • Only one dog per owner is permitted.
  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
  • Any dog-related accident or incident must be reported to First Aid immediately.
  • Dogs must display their Festival-issued tag at all times while on Festival grounds.
  • Dogs are not permitted inside the Feast of Fantasy.

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival reserves the right to refuse admission to or require the removal of any dog that poses a safety concern, exhibits aggressive behavior, or whose owner fails to comply with this policy.

Dog Admission

Single-Day Admission

  • $10 per dog with your own photo (photo will not be returned)
  • $15 per dog if the Festival takes the required photo

 

Season Pass

  • $50 per dog with your own photo (photo will not be returned)
  • $55 per dog if the Festival takes the required photo

Service Animals:

Service animals are welcome at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in accordance with applicable law. A service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to perform work or perform tasks for a person with a disability.

 

Service animals are not required to:

  • Complete the Dog Registration Form.
  • Check in at a Dog Check-In station.
  • Pay Dog Admission.
  • Enter through the designated Dog Gates.

 

Service animals must remain under the handler’s control at all times while on Festival grounds.

It is unlawful for an individual to knowingly misrepresent a dog as a service animal.
