Calling all artists! Share your creativity and help brighten our Festival for the 2023 Season!

Our annual Mural Competition has begun and we’re looking for creative painters to paint a beautiful mural that captures the spirit of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival! Your murals can include but are not limited to jousting, juggling, mermaids, fairies, dragons, unicorns, witches, wizards, your favorite acts from the Renaissance, and more! Designs must be original and painted by the person submitting the form.

Contest is FREE to enter.

All murals must be 2′ x 2′ and painted with an outdoor paint or finished with a waterproof cover. They must be painted on a weather-treated material (i.e. treated plywood). The murals will be put on display at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and will be exposed to the elements during the duration of our 2023 season. Please write your name on the back bottom right corner of the mural.

Each submitted mural competitor will receive one free admission ticket, only valid weekends 1-4 & Festival Friday.

DUE DATES:

Forms Due By: August 17th through Google Forms
Murals Due By: August 17th 2023
Murals can be dropped off from August 1 – August 3 between 9 AM & 3 PM
OR be dropped off from August 7 – August 9 between 9 AM & 3 PM
OR be dropped off from August 15 – August 17 between 9 AM & 3 PM
Murals dropped off after 8-17-23, will not be accepted!
If Murals aren’t registered they won’t be accepted

DROP OFF LOCATIONS:

Once completed you may drop your murals at the Festival Studio Office located at:

Murals will become the property of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival once dropped off.

Huzzah! The King has declared September 16th as Sign Language Saturday during our Experience Love for the Arts weekend! ASL Interpreters will be available for a variety of stage performances and events. Interpreters provided by Keystone Interpreting Solutions.
