Details

Date: Free Vow Renewals are held during the Wine, Chocolate & Romance weekend on September 19th & 20th

Time: Vow Renewals will take place 11 AM and 1:30 PM

Location: The Chapel – located near Shepherd’s Green Field and the white Events Tent, across from the Bakery Stage

Important Information

  • Arrive at the Chapel 5 to 10 minutes prior to your scheduled time
    • There will be seating at the Chapel, you may wait there until the Officiant calls your couple to the stand
    • Please be respectful of the other Vow Renewals happening during this time
  • All ceremonies will be no longer than 5 minutes total
  • There will be three options of vows to choose from: Religious, Civil, and Your Choice (must be a maximum of 2 minutes in length each) – please choose your script upon registration
  • You may sign up for ONE (1) 5-minute spot on Saturday OR Sunday
  • Registration will close at 11:59 PM on Thursday September 17th, after this there will be NO further Vow Renewals registrations

Tips & After the Vow Renewal

  • There will be NO day of registrations
  • Vow Renewal Certificates will be given at the time of your Vow Renewal
    • Please provide the couples full name to be printed on the Certificate – without the couples full name, you will receive a blank Certificate
  • Please use an email that is easily identifiable and reachable to your coupling

Creative Competitions

Contest Information:

  • The Cupcake Royale Contest is held sixth weekend of the Renaissance Festival, September 19th and 20th.
  • The Cupcake Royale Competition theme for 2026 is “House of the Cupcakes!”
  • Judged by Nadia Cakes!
  • Each submitted Cupcake Royale competitor will receive One Free 2026 Admission Ticket
  • Judging will be conducted onsite each day at 11:00 AM at the Shepherd Green Stage
  • The weather may be hot, please freeze cupcakes prior to drop off!

Contest Rules:

  • Cupcakes MUST be transferred into clear containers (provided by the Festival) upon arrival. Please include a note card with your full name.
  • Please note: If your cupcake exceeds the dimensions of the clear container [3.5″ × 2.625″ × 2″], you will need to transport it yourself to the designated area at the time of judging.  
  • Registration must be completed online through this Google form before September 17th at 11:59pm. Any entries after this time will not be accepted.  
  • Cupcakes MUST be dropped off on Saturday or Sunday before 10 AM at B-Gate (directions and parking information below). There will be signs directing you where B-Gate is. 
  • Cupcakes will be returned to the participant as they will be judged based on presentation, creativity & theme. Cupcakes will not be tasted (for safety reasons). 
  • Must submit two (2) cupcakes total (One for presentation, one for cutting to judge the inside). 
  • You can only compete ONCE during the weekend (Saturday 9/19 or Sunday 9/20). Multiple entries will not be accepted. 

Judging Criteria:

  • 50% Decoration
  • 25% Adherence to Theme (House of the Cupcakes)
  • 25% Creativity and Originality  

Drop Off Times & Locations:

B-Gate
  • You must pre-pay for parking on-site to drop off cupcakes!
  • Drop off before 10 AM.
  • B-Gate is located to the right of the King’s Gate.
  • Follow the gravel road past the box office until you reach Cupcake Royale signs directing you towards B-Gate.
  • At B-Gate, drop off Cupcakes and transfer them into clear containers with clear name cards attached.
